From Home Businesses | How to Create Income with Jobs Cleaning Houses

When it’s time to create your own income and job there are many options even in the current economy. From cooking, driving and handyman services to cleaning. For many cleaning is the least enjoyable job in every home, but for the few that clean in fine detail and enjoy the work it is the best options for them.

Jobs cleaning houses come in a variety of different categories. But each one requires a set guideline of what is expected from the home cleaning crew and from the client. To begin a good service go over the list very carefully with the client before you accept any job. Do not under charge, but try to keep prices according to the current economy in your area.

Once the list is complete and the pay is agreed upon to your satisfaction you can begin. Your list should include time allowed to complete the project on a daily or weekly basis. If it is going to be a one time clean list the completion date for the job. You and the client sign the bottom along with a witness so there is no misconception regarding pay, job done, and time allotted.

Jobs for private homes will include all rooms of the house to be cleaned. Floors, sinks, tub, shower and laundry room. Do not include doing laundry, doing dishes, putting away dishes, plant care or yard work of any kind unless you charge extra for it. Make it worth your time. The list is to protect you from the extra jobs a client will ask you to do that you did not plan pay and time for.

If you are cleaning homes for loan companies and banks on foreclosed property your list should include if you are going to remove all trash and personal property left behind and if you will be paid extra for time, gas and dump fees. Also include if you can keep any personal property found within the home and in the yard. Personal property left behind is extra income at yard sales, swap meets, or for other families in need.

Whenever you begin a business always get bonded. Bonding will protect you from accusations of theft and property damage. Complete your jobs by the agreed upon date and do it better than the list implies. Take pictures of the property on foreclosed homes before and after the job is done. Once your business is established jobs will come your way easily and your previous jobs will become a great reference for other clients.
