Jobs cleaning houses tend to be very word of mouth and there’s no better recommendation than a friend’s clean house that prospective clients can inspect.

Another benefit of being a housekeeper (especially if you work for yourself) is that you can set your own hours. This works out great for mothers who have children. Stay at home moms can gradually ease back into the workforce without compromising their time with their children when they are back from school.

While some people will look down on housekeeping as a profession, the fact remains that it is a very good home based business model with flexible hours of work. It is also honest work and in times of recession, people should do what they can to make ends meet.
